View Full Version : Channels

As you might know, i'm still quite a n00b in photoshop.
I always see that 'Channel' tab there next to the Layers tab, but i just can't figur out what the Channels can do/what the effects are that i can reach with it.
Can someon give me a clear explanation of what 'Channels' represent, and what effects i maybe could get with it?
//Sorry for my bad English.

found it (the krause tut's):
go there and look for the "secrets of chops". there are several parts. of course study the other tips as well, they are really cool for learning to handle channel-stuff (they are quite a bit old, but that doesn't matter)
hope to helped you out a little bit with that,
