Greetings all.

This is my first post here, so I'll just give a little background information. I've just started to get into art, particularly digital art after losing interest in photography. I've no training and very limited experience, so please don't tear me down too savagely--constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated, however.

And if you're still reading................ here it is:

Thanks folks :-)

deviantart doesn't allow hotlinking. Try uploading it to (for example) and then posting it on here using the mountain looking button when you make a new post. or link us directly to your DA account.
oh and don't worry AT ALL about getting torn down, this is a great community and everyone is very friendly and helpful

Ahh, now that link works! This is very good for early work. I'll assume you used some reference for it. It's hard for me to imagine the right leg connecting to the abdomen the way it is since its hidden, but maybe the hip bone needs to stick out and forwand a little more. I'm nitpicking a little, 'cause thats a very minor point and isn't too noticeable. The colors are very pleasant and work well together. I'd like to see some updates soon...

Though the coloring's looking great so far, I think it'd look a lot more effective with an established light source. Right now you have these rays washing over her from the top left, however the lighitng on her body doesn't really follow it. I think if you were to shift to that and possibly use more contrast it would really make the piece more illuminative.
