You know, I really like her face. She has a very pretty face. I think perhaps the skintones are a little bland though, especially with such a saturated background color. What I find helps is to pick out the midtone and shadow for a regular skintone, making the shadow color more saturated and redder than the midtone. The rub the light blue from the background in the midtone and the darker blue on the shadow, using really light pressure. This mixes some of the color of th background in and also makes a more life-like tone. Also, after you've done this, select a light cyan as your highlighing color.

Nice work so far, can't wait to see updates!

Woa that's nice !! I'd have seen a magenta or green saber light to change the overal color theme of the pic. But it's nice like this too.

Wow I really like the scene and how you filled the frame. The pose is great as well as her expression. I think the light saber light should really come from who your character is, rather than what makes the image look "better."

Really looking forward to the next post. :D

thanksi let the saber be handmaidens colour which is plain old light blue, still i replaced a few placeholders like the braids etc and i think it more or less done, spent a while putting texture on the skin shame it does not come out at this res , any more i think i will be a hogging bandwidth

comments crits welcome

hey defcom, the only thing i have a prob with is the lighting.

she is in a dark forest but there is to muh light, i think the light emphasis should be from the sabre.

i kinda redid you pic a little, to show you what i mean. not trying to overstep of course. it's just kinda the way i think of it. sorry it isn't that great of a redo, kinda did it to fast.

well that is my crit but besides that i like it.

thanks again for taking the time and effort ,

Hi ! good work so far.. on the last image I noticed that you lost some of your darkest value (background behind her saber.. ) I think you should push it way darker.. it look flat now ..

also Im not sure about the highlight on her mouth (left corner..) it distract me, maybe it could be blured a bit.. or smudge ..but just a litle

keep it up !

edit : oh wasnt you that rework the picture.. sry ;)
