View Full Version : Using a normal map in Preview Window and Renders?

Ok, I'm having some difficulty getting my models to render or preview using a normal map I've created outside of XSI.

Now, as I understand it, I'm supposed to plug my normal map image into the XSI Normal Map node, and plug that node into either the shader's bump plug, or the material's bump plug.

If I plug it into the shader, it has no effect what so ever.

If I plug it into the material, the object no longer renders at all in the preview window.

What else do I need to be doing here?
