thanks for the reply but i am exporting to a game engine....loooking to export some explosions etc

how do i convert the particle faces to poly faces??

is that what you meant ????

you don't normally export particles to game engines, game engines will have their own particles and dynamics engine 99% of the time.
It's more common having to go the other way around, and writing a plugin for your 3D app so the artists can emulate the effects of the game engine inside the 3D app and be sure of consistancy.
