05 May 2006, 09:42 AM writing a script to have buttons with pictures to select curve controllers i have for my rig. I'm using a mac and i don't know how to write the file path for my pictures. Does anyone know how to write this for a mac file path?

can you do a "whatIs" on a function for Maya to give you an example of a file path it's looking for?

On the mac, the easiest way to get an exact path to something (like an image for ex) is to open up the "Terminal" application (located in the Utilities folder in your Applications). This will open up a text window known as a "Shell". Just drag and drop your image file from the finder onto that terminal window: the path will appear as text. Just copy paste that into your mel script.

Here's an example path just in case:
