I combined 3D computer graphics, with hand drawn 2d animation. For the backdrops I would use a combination of digital paintings, photos (which were usually painted over), CG models/scenes, and there is one hand built miniature set. The subject is about the origin of the Tin Woodsman from the Wizard of Oz. I adapted it from L Frank Baum's original book series (there were 14 original books.)
Here are a few stills:

I've got an offical project page (http://hinchu.com/projects/tinman/) and a small production gallery (http://hinchu.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=9) that includes shots and how I did them. The production gallery is still in the works, and I plan on adding more information and shot information to it all.
Finally the actual animation.
I've got it on YouTube if you want to watch it really fast, with a really crappy quality.
And I've got a torrent of the high quality one.

It can also be downloaded from the project page... but I'd like my site not to die from bandwidth if at all possible. If it does... well oh well.
