View Full Version : searching for elements/passes/layers tool
for a projekt I want to render some characters as 'clay renderings' - just skylight and metal ray final gathering would be just fine.
the renderings should be splitted in their passes and elements for each object/part of the charakter.
the fg or occlusion solution should be included as a own layer.
-> as fg/gi/occlusion seem hardly accessable as layer/matte/element may it needs to be rendered black aand white as composited in photoshop.
I am already playing with psd-manager.
Could anyboday suggest some tool or combination of tools to get this done?
There is a shader for mental ray wich can save all sorts of data out, you should check the BIG mental ray thread, I thought someone ported the shader... I think this is the one.. http://www.puppet.cgtalk.ru/download/buffer_writer_e.shtml
