I am working on a school assinment. Here is the model I have created. Now I need to make an animation with him. Here is my latest rough draft:

It is my third (first proper) animation in Maya and I have never animated in any other 3D app either, so all help is appreciated!

Little tweaks here'n'there. Progressing.

some very nice motion overall in the beginning, however from 3/4 through you need to show some more variation in poses in order to communicate what the creature is thinking, or minimize the amount he looks around. Why is he looking around? To see whose it is? To see if he'll get caught taking the thing and being curious about it? think about that a bit
Also, speed things up a bit when he is looking around.

Renders of the animation frames. No cloth or environment applied yet.

Latest version of the animation (4mb) (

The animation is nearing completion. I will still work on the fine tuning tomorrow and calculate the cloth physics. The finished animation will sport a painted background environment.

Some of the motions still need to be worked on. If anyone notices something very horribly wrong, please help. I will propably run a couple of tweaking stuff all over passes so now is the time to give your opinion.

Included some dynamics. All new stuff is always bit scary to add because 9 times out of 10 I manage to break my scene doing that.

Thanks to all who contributed. My deadline is drawing near and I had to set the scene to render. At 3 minutes / frame on my dual G5 this animation will take 55 hours. It is not too bad, but I need to be done yesterday.
