View Full Version : Questions about 2D animation rates

So I'm working on a project where we have to create a creative proposal for a half-hour television show of our choosing. My group decided that proposing an animated cartoon would cut out some of the complication in budgeting (no real travel expenses, locations, camera crews, etc.) as compared to a live-action show. Trouble is, it seems to be QUITE hard to find rate-cards for actual 2D animation houses online. So, I turn to the experienced minds of the CGTalk forums! Do you work for a company that makes television cartoons? Have a rate card I could check out?

Also, the SAG site seems to be utterly USELESS for finding standard rates. Any idea what the going rate is for cartoon voice acting? I know it depends on the voices, but what's the average?
