View Full Version : Character sketch: Shia Kyosuka

First Off, I would like to say that I'm very new here, and that I know that I don't compare even in the slightest to any of the other artists here at CGTalk.

That's why I'm here. I want to improve both my drawing and photoshop artist skills.

The pictures you are about to see are Shia Kyosuka. The character that I first created at the age of 9. I would like to stress that he is not an anthro character (mickey mouse, VGcats, Bugs bunny), but a Neko-jin (Felicia from Darkstalkers for example). He is, in fact, almost the same style neko-jin as Felicia.

When I become a part of the gaming industry, (and I will) I plan on giving this character (along with the Shadow Crisis, the game that this character is in) to Nintendo. I made this decision, because I feel like Nintendo really takes care of it's characters an franchises, and continues them on and on. That's what I want. For my characters and games to be forever remembered and continued by Nintendo...

My drawing style is anime/manga. I've always been fascinated by the style and wish I had the money to go buy anime DVD's and mangas.

I'm fairly experienced with Photoshop and would like to know how to color pictures in the style of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2.

MVC2: Example: Click here to see what color style I'm talking about. (

Ok, finally here's the sketch. Feedback and Critique is GREATLY appreciated!
