I have a mesh with texture, UVs and weights on it, and i need to add few polygons on this mesh.
So i tried to use the subsitute geometry, I added 2-4 faces on a duplicate mesh and subsitute to the old mesh. Weightings and UVs stay on the mesh, but I lost the shader, so I have to manually assigne the mesh to each shader again. Anyone knows how to avoid this from happening?
Lastly, unlike 6.5, there is delete non-skin history, I want to delete the polyUnite, Separate, split hisotry from the mesh but I couldn't find this anymore in 7, there's delete non-deformer command but doesn't look like the same in 6.5. Is there another way to delete this history in maya 7?
