Is there any render channel feature in C4D. Something sorta like i can render one part of the scene and ignore everything else, but still have everything cast shadows so i can composite in a 3rd party program?

for what you want you could either use the multipass system and object id's to generate object masks or the pure compositing tag on it's own and uncheck the "seen by camera" option within it on the objects you do not wish to be visible in the render.

I would just add that (in R9.0 at least) you can only save Object Buffers in a Multipass file if you also include an RGBA image from the Channels menu as well.

Not sure why, as it seems like unneccesary duplication with the main image, but there you are.

Perhaps this has changed in 9.6?
