I'm having a weird problem and I've been out of rigging long enough to wonder if there's some bug I don't know about.
I have a 3 joint chain and a controller wire.
I orient contraint joint 3 and joint 2 to the wire controller. Same settings. The controller will orient joint 2 but joint 3 ignores the contraint UNLESS I turn the joint2 constraint to 0. Why?

Yes... that's pretty strange... That's why i'm using connections or Expression instead. I don't remeber did this work in the previous versions of Maya??

UHH... select both the orient constraints and open the hypergraph..

Click on Input and Output Connections, then look for the (pink colored) connection, at least my is pink :)

its named "joint_orientConstraint1.constraintParentInverseMatrix"

delete it on both the constraints and it will work now... ;)
