View Full Version : FK control for spine setup

okay, i imagine there being a simple solution to this, but i'm dumbfounded:


for my character's spine joints (lower stomach, upper stomach, chest, neck), I want to have simple control curves sticking out like spikes for FK manipulation...

if I try to parent constrain each joint to its respective control, the one before it no longer works & if i simply try to parent them, it messes up the joints (dissapear).


how do I do this? i simply want FK controls for each spine...?

okayyyyy, nevermind... figured it out

silly me --- instead of parent constraining it, i just orient constrained it -- and also parented each control to the joint before (though i'm not sure that last step was neccessary) --- but it's working nonetheless.
