I'm trying to get a good sub-poly displacement going in Cinema R9.1 using maps generated from ZBrush. I've got the .obj file interchange going smoothly via the Riptide plugin, no problems with UVs. Things look fine in Zbrush, but literally "fall flat" in C4D. I am suspecting that to get a really good Sub-Poly displacement I need to be able to use 32 bit depth maps, i.e.; I need R9.5 that 32 bit files.
Perhaps someone here has some tips on how to get better results in R9.1? I'm using 16 bit Red/Green maps exported via ZBrush's MD2 exporter using the quick code recommended by Lucent Animation in their tutorial on ZBrush2C4D.
