View Full Version : Imf_copy -p error

Ok so a bunch of bizzare things. So im new to displacement maps but I generated one in zbrush then exported as tif and I try loading it in maya and when I go to render it just gives me an error saying it dosnt recognize the file format. Then I try to convert it to a .map using the:
"Imf_copy p originalfile.tif" command prompt way and then it gives me the error message:

Main 0.0 fatal: Imf_copy: unknown format ""

So if anyone can tell me why the tif in maya isnt working or why cant I change to .map it would be great. Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, this is a problem with the colorspace that ZBrush spits the texture out into. Try taking your image into Photoshop, and convert it to RGB color.
