View Full Version : CgTalk Daily Sketch 672 THE 15 MINUTE SKETCH: "late..."

04 April 2006, 04:05 PM

* You have 15, (count them 15!) minutes to do your sketch.
IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing

Also, I will add a new voting category, called THE FASTEST DRAW
__________________________________________________ _______

We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

Hey guys. I posted here some months ago, but I'm back to business.. for a while at least. I feel rusty.
Here's my take, late afternoon.. I played a bit with Goro's brushes.
Reference used, PS - 17 minutes. Sorry I went over the time limit, I don't fancy doing ripples very much as you might notice. :P

Ham-e: I really like your picture's concept and the enphasis on the blood. Good job

What better time to post my late speed paint than the day after?

15 minutes:

had to finish it with five more minutes here:

04 April 2006, 02:44 AM
Vizon, what program did you use here?

04 April 2006, 03:03 AM
HI, here my sketch. 10 min. ps + wacom.

I was out for the week end so...i'am late. I think it's ok for a topic like that...hehe:deal:
here my work, please critics me.

04 April 2006, 05:52 AM
Vizon, what program did you use here?

Oh it's Painter. Oil pastels. It came out pretty lame though. I wasn't very focused when I did it. Now I see all these blatantly horrible mistakes and things I'd like to change like the perspective of the sidewalk and the stripes in it I thought I erased and his lip...

Oh well. Just an excercise.

04 April 2006, 02:07 PM
Oh, because it looked to me like a very very very very good mspaint drawing. :D

Ha ha ha! That bad, eh? MSPaint, heh heh heh...yeah it does look a bit pixely, doesn't it? Before I had any sort of artistic software I used to fiddle around in paint. I got pretty decent using that spray can for gradients, ha ha ha.

pencil, PSe for scan & color shift - LOL someone's leg-arm coordination seriously sucks :curious:

04 April 2006, 09:46 PM
hey it is been quite a while :D been busy with stuff. Thought I could spare 15 minutes though... however, it's also too short for a decent sketch.

hope to be around some more
