Hiya Wedric :)
I really like your concept.
The only thing I'm not so sure about is the main character. From the image above it's not exactly clear to me what it is.
I assume it is Robot of some kind escaping from the polluted/radioactive city into the clean freedom of the country.
However, I can't quite make out the design of the robot.
Looks great so far and I can't wait to see more.
I wish you luck ;)

I think this is going to be really good ;)

Nice progress, mate! Have you decided the aspect ratio on the camera yet? When I saw this picture a few days ago, I got an image in the head of a very wide panoramic picture with the little robot right in the middle and lot's of area covered on both side - meaning you see a lot of the city and the countryside. Well anyway, let us see some blocking of the environment! :)

Nice going! Awaiting the final result ;)
But shouldn't you have any direct sunlight? Right now everything is dull, but that is perhaps you look you are aiming for? Ofcourse, the both side of the water probably have different lightningthemes.

This my comp of the img...made in PScs2 and after effect.

I don't know of you already realized it, but you got plenty of premultiplication problems. Notice the while line around the stuff the robot is carrying, for example. Did you put together your layers in After Effects or PhotoShop? If you did it in PhotoShop, you will have to do a workaround to get pass the premultiplication.

Minibot is a working (builder/miner) robot from a big city. He's tired of the big dirty city so he's moving out from the town and enter the beautiful country side.
In the foreground you can see a three eyed fish (you can't see it from this view but it got three eye :P) that try to eat a butterfly.
Over the city is a big dirty acid cloud.
I modelled and texutered in Maya 7.I rendered this image with Maya software and directional lights.
Comped in PhotoshopCS and after effect.
I made this image as an exam project @ my school, I hope you enjoy the Image.
Pls. give me some critiques and advice so I can improve my self.

There is a few things I would say *mohaha*:
* The lightning. Right now you have a light dome, creating a blueish light in every direction. Every shadow gets erased this way. It works for the city pretty good since it's dust and all, but wouldn't there be some sun over at the complete blue sky out in the nature? :) As you stated, he is moving to the beautiful country side. Then some nice warming sun should be there as well, or what do you think?
* The frameing. Don't be affraid of testing different aspect ratios on the camera. Right now it feels like the standard PAL 768 in a higher resolution. For this picture, I really really really can't stop thinking of having a wider angle. But perhaps that just me :)
A minor thing was more my fault. I realized too late that there shouldn't be any occlusion on the water, as it gives a rather strange darkening effect. Sorry :argh:
One last thing that strikes my mind is why no smoke between the buildings? :)
Otherwise it's a very nice work, mate! :buttrock:I love all the small details you put into the image, it brings the work to life  (That's definitely a part of your style!)

Thx bro........I 'll see what I can improve.. It was alot of things that I wanted to do with this image but I didn't have the time. I'm gonna spend some time to give this image more detail.

I like your idea well but I preferred the angle of sight of your sketch!
