View Full Version : possible UV/Rigging bug in Maya 7?

I'm a student and have been laying UV's on a couple different characters and have noticed a problem. When I lay UV's for an object and copy the UV's to a duplicate object everything is fine and well with the world but doing the previous process with the objects being part of a rig produces undesirable results. Everytime I go to copy UV's the destination object has border edges everywhere. Does anyone know if UV mapping pieces of a rigged character and transferring those UV's messes with vertex ordering? And has anyone else run into this problem? And lastly, know how to fix it? :)
