View Full Version : Learning how to draw textures, feedback needed

Well, this is my first post in this forum. I'm a 3D guy, I suck at drawing (I always have). But I feel the need to learn how to paint textures from scratch, so I'm dedicating part of my spare time to this.
And I figured this would be a nice place to get some feedback

Without further delay, I present to you... my textures (please forgive the watermarks):

http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/7687/woodtest011pc.th.jpg (http://img87.imageshack.us/my.php?image=woodtest011pc.jpg)

These are all drawn from scratch (photos were used for REFERENCE only, never placed in the same document... the most I did was pick some colors now and then).

As I said, I'd love some feedback, I'm practicing, but sometimes it's a little frustrating, and I could use some advice.
Btw, do you think these would be good enough to include in my reel?

And if you have any suggestion about what kind of texture should I draw next, I'm all ears :D

Thanks for reading!
