Modelled in max 4.2, textured, litted and rendered in max 5. Used polygonal modelling for the characters. The creature was unwrapped, tex maps painted in photoshop. Christmas hat done by adding noise to a dense mesh followed by an inverted falloff texture.

Would appreciate some comments. :D

hiya dom,

sweet. good concept on the guy there, nicely textured. the render is cool, but i have to agree with surreal about the blur.
can we see some wires please.

Thanks for the comments. The blurry effect was done on purpose, used blend filter to give it that soft look. Well at least that was what i was trying to achieve :D

hm that first image you posted was definately too blurry. you might want to try a very subtle blur, like 2 pixels threshold or something.

The character looks cool but IŽd work on the lighting.
