This is a first rough sketch to work out the composition.
I'll post some more detailed sketches as I progress.

Looking good, what's the story? :)

Thanks for the comments so far :)
I know theres not much to comment yet, and I was hoping to post some more sketches tonight but it might be for tomorow.
I'll probably start modeling this weekend.

The story is as follows....
Theres a big city settled on the back of a volcanic mountain (not the smartest plays to settle down :p).
When the volcano showed signs of activity the city desided to evacuate and abondon their homes.
Now they set on a Journey to new lands and hopefully rebuild their empire/home.

To explain a bit more on the characters...
In the foreground you see two characters, an old man/wizard and a female elf.
On the left to the middle theres massive highland cows carrying the goods, etc.
These elfs are controlled by gnomish characters riding them.
There are also dwarf characters and dark skinned knights.
The dark skinned knights are somewhat the emperial army of the lost city.

I'll probably make a more clear sketch as I'm not to happy with the composition yet, and I need to place the characters better.
Lots of characters = lots of work = lots of fun :p

Yay! that's the spirit :)
Love the amount of concept work you have done and they are really nice sketches as well.
Good luck :)
