I'm rendering a sequence of 1000 frames with Maya Hardware (not the hardware buffer), and while it zips by at several frames per second at the beginning, it starts to slow down as it goes on. I'm at around 800, and now it's taking like 2-3 seconds per frame.
I know that's not a lot, but I will have to render a bunch of sequences this long eventually.
Is there a reason for the slowdown, or should I break it into several jobs?
Oh, and it shouldn't be a memory issue, since I'm well below 1 GB, and have 2 GB of physical RAM.
