hi, i drew this sketch in class and i liked it alot. it is different from my usual style and i decided to colour it and practise my cg skills on it. however i am having a hard time colouring it the way i want to. i am kinda going for that soft kinda chinese style of coloured art. i hope you know what i mean ^^; so for example: the girl's face isn't supposed to get heavy shading like you often see in cg's but everything needs to have a soft colouring style but has to look semi realistic at the same time. i am quite new to this ><;; so any crits and tips are very welcome!

i worked more on the dragon wings, and adjusted the girl's mouth.

I think people cant comment because you are going very well,
mine is not a crit,
I think you shoul roughly color every where before going further,
You will work easier if you do the painting step by step.
For example at least you paint all your fill colors than add dark
areas, than reflected lights and at the and highlights.
This way you will be able to have a general idea of your paint, if it is going the right way or not.

'' I think people cant comment because you are going very well, ''
really? hahaha ^^; when i look at all the artists here who show their work in this section i feel like a beginner :P i have been CG-ing for a few years but only started doing some real detailed, more semi realistic a little while ago. ^^; this will actually be my second one in this style.
thanks for the comment/tip :) i will post anothere update here. i have not been able to do much because i did not have much time today >_<;
update: i added slightly more skin tone to the girl's face and worked on the dragon's head.

it is going very well, and there is nothing beginnerish about it. Evrything looks very controlled and correct. And I think you have done pretty well in acheiving the style you were going for. very nice picture:thumbsup:
