Hey all,

I made this in 3dsmax5 it was inspired by sangotten and metal gear solid. Hope u all like it :) Took me about 24 hours to create it :eek:
But it was worth it i think, also used joan of ark tutorial partly.

Good looking nijna but i think that it will look better if the body was dressed in black and grey skin but anyway it rocks :airguitar

Its an unsual look for a ninja character, but i must say, really interesting approach. I like it!
Try do put up more images, maybe a little animation?!

Gonna make an environment and an animation that makes her blend into it :) Well gonna try it =)

I've used the biped tutorial that comes with max. The Daniel Martinez character is rigged in the cs tutorial.

Just go in figure mode create your biped so it fits your character.
Then click your mesh and use a modifier called physique.

Work out the envelopes (that's the hardest) it took me 12 hours :S and it still isn't right yet.

Well here is a stealth test... it's also my first character animation so plz crit it hard... it's just a test ;)

Anyway... what do u think of the stealth thing??? suggestions???

Trying to reach the stealth effect from predator, u might know the movie. Or from Metal gear solid, their almost the same :) Anyway... it's far from good :S

man i saw the animation and i must say that it's very bad :annoyed: I have and idea for the animation, just imagine that the security camera is moving from left to right on the top of a huge building. It's rainnig, it's rainnig a lot and in one moment you see that the rain is falling strange like there is somethnig (i'm bad whit egnlish and e can't explane it well) The ninja removes her stealth and run the the camera and you know Blaaam !!

Thnx, :) yeah the animation is just to show the stealth, it's not gonna be the final ofcourse.

But I need help on the stealth... it sux :S how can I make it better, Got any idea's?

And the fading from stealth to normal? The material is bad does anyone knows howto improve it?

well how do you do it now? i know the brazil render they have the glass material, which i would think it is possible you might be able to have someform of stealth like look probably not exactly the preditor but something that might look good, if i remember correctly, and i only messed around with it a couple times on a friends computer, i think it has reflection and refraction parameters, i would guess and i am far from an expert if you set the parameters so that the reflection is low or zero, and the refraction is fairly high, and you might get something in the direction where you want to go

Now I have a falloff map with 20% opacity. checked faceted and render with meshmooth iterations 0. and self illumination 100.

But it's ugly... and normal raytraced also because it's IOR makes it look to messed up it doesn't blend in anymore. I wanna know how it's done damnit hehe...

Well the first thing you got to decied is what kind of a stealth do you want to do. Maybe the one like in "Ghost in the Shell" or you wonna make something other. I'll give you an idea, why don't you make the stealth looks like there is some electricity going from time to time but not just often. Uff i can't epxlane it it's in my head. The stealth should look like colorless water that's.

Hi Error323!

the model of the ninja is very nice....:wip:

but I agreed with Atmos_Fear:lightbulb about the animation...
I have one critic here regading the say it is a falloff mat. with 20% opacity....if you are using max... I suggest to use morph mat with blend....It will give you better result...

Update, now i've got a better fade effect and i'm happy about the stealth. Just don't watch the animation (yet) cuz it still sux :)

Error this time it looks much more better but please make a animation test when the model is no moving. You are in the right way that's for shure but the is much work to do.
