Is it possible to Roll Up and unroll a mesh in LW.
Tried bones and it looks messy.

In fact, that's very easy to do.
Use the bend tool in layout (deform:bend).
Make two nulls, one for the base and one for the handle.
Just make sure that the object is a little ( few degr.) rotated in modeler to the groundplane.

Sorry I'll be more specific. I need to unroll the mesh in an animation, my shot involves an object unrolling, and a streight morph between a rolled up and a flat mesh yeilds bad results. I'm looking for a way to show an unrolling over time.

Never tried, but maybe use cloth?
e.g, set some points to "fixed" then use X/Z to -1/+1 as the gravity direction
Ok, tried it, wasn't a big success, but I suk at dynamics :)

I've seen a good page rolling solution using bones.

Actually, the bend modifier that Skywatcher mentioned works great animated. Perhaps you mistook his reply for describing the bend tool (modeler)?

thanks pixelranger, thats right.
When you animate the control nulls the page will roll and unroll as you want.
Fast and easy.

Bend Tool is pretty cool!
here, is yet, another way :P
using clothfx, may give you more realism or not...

Thanks Skywatcher, I am starting to get it. A plugin available in the Object properties panel called bend. As for how to use the nulls as base and handle, I am still at a loss. The manual is very breif on this topic. Any step by step instruction on how to command this mesh to bend using the nulls would be greatly apreciated.
