I thought I'd put this out. Its a character done for a competition. He's 2595 polys (the brief allowed 3500,) & textured with one 1024x1024 map, as per the rules. Obviously he's a little high spec for most games, but the brief was done this way in order to promote creative interpretation.
He's a half schitzoid sage. (don't ask)
Anyway, here he is:

u can deffinatly see the schitzoid,, in that left bulging eye!!!
i think it would be good to put more detail into the post he is sat on maby a bit of structural sopport to make it look more solid and if it was textured like split weathered wood:cool:,,, yeah!,,, well just my opinion hope u dont mind a few suggestions,,

hehe i think the conversion turned out very well. Good job. MAybe use those left over polygons to add even more detail.

Personally I think the feet could use a little more work - they're glaringly odd looking (remind me a little of the old UK kids show "the flumps")
Other than the feet he looks real good, though the bulging eye is just crying out for a specularity hilight of some kind. Looks a little dry right now.

dtek8: Yeah I should've put more texture work into the platform, but I wanted the main focus to be the character. The platform is really just a prop to help put him in context.
Harl: The feet & hands were the last thing to be modelled before I moved on to skinning & I was getting close to the deadline so I guess I kinda rushed them a little. (In the end I finished 2 days ahead of the deadline so I could've tweaked a little.)
As it is the deadline is now passed & its just a case of waiting for the results, but good call on the specular, maybe I'll add that if I get time.
