pft..those videos are soo yesterday.

12 December 2001, 07:18 PM
marvelous work as usual, Martin. Got a quick question for you: I've noticed that on many of your works in progress, you show in non-"da-vinci" poses. Do you model that way, or do you rig them at an early stage and pose for showing?
are there advantages-disadvantages that you know of to modeling in "different" poses?

12 December 2001, 07:19 PM

Hey I like those videos by "that guy". Don't go dissin' on them ;)

12 December 2001, 07:40 PM
Good work.
You would make a great game modeler. The way you model in stages would be good for a LOD character.

12 December 2001, 07:59 PM

how long...hmm..not sure. i started early this year...
give him about 30 minutes per 2 months.
although the inside of the mouth took about 4 hours alone ,one day.
all in all...hes got about 12 hours into him so far.

about your model, its hard to tell since i have no wire to look at.

12 December 2001, 06:26 AM
Snifff, why the site of Ambient is dead each week end :( They put it off maybe :D

Great stuff as always Martin. Lots of character & rock solid modelling.
Did that tree scene ever get textured & finished?

12 December 2001, 11:05 PM
cool polygon modeling

12 December 2001, 01:16 PM
you let us thinking that u can do anything u want with polygons and in a easy, quick way. its like u were drawing with the polys.. and thats the skills level i want to achieve..
congrats man:)
btw i downloaded all videos and know what?
when i try to unzip them i get the """"bad something...should be another something"""" warning!
and it took me hours to get them in my poor connection..
heh, im lucky.

12 December 2001, 01:52 PM

Hey Guys.
In fact, Martin Krol is Ambient Whisper.

and Hello martin :D
I just half-finished my 2nd head project.
Keep up to your work!!
It`s great!!!

01 January 2002, 02:28 PM
not much of an update, but heres a detail in progress shot of the inside of the arm.

01 January 2002, 02:31 PM
pretty nice man, keep it up...

P.S. I'm surprised you can pull urself away from that PS2 of urs ;)

01 January 2002, 03:37 PM
Mirai master strikes back! man you are good :)

01 January 2002, 04:26 PM
Not bad, not bad at all ;)

01 January 2002, 01:23 PM
Heya Martin, it's been a while. I took a look at your vid tutorials and although it is interesting to behold, it goes much too fast for me to get any of the tool specific info I need out of it. Windows Media Player sucks a big #$%@ so I can't really play it in slow-mo or stop it at exact points.

Any plans of making a "slower" tut for those of us that are slow? hehe I would just like to see all the basic up to advanced tool techniques in Mirai. Would be a Godsend! Keep up the awesome work, mang. You remind me of Bay Raitt in the making.

01 January 2002, 01:56 PM
heya mate :)
here is the software that your looking for. it slows down your videos to whatever speed you want. interactively too!! :)

pascal+matt+lildrag : thank you :)

01 January 2002, 04:57 AM
