Hi there,
I started the thread hereby and planning to continue this comic book thread called "Shadowless". Graphic novel takes its name from the hero of the story; "Shadowless" is his reputation-name given by the media.

The mini challenge "sequential art" is a good place to start i think.

Best wishes for all

Although the character "Shadowless" is almost ready, i want to send some early sketches. Here are...

It looks like the chgaracter itself could use a lot more work. a lot of that costume design so far looks really generic. Remeber when working on a comic book character, that artists have been drawing men in tights of all different types and colors for almost a hundred years now and there's very little left that hasn't been done. Besides that I think the world will get bored with it before much longer unless you're just one of those super incredible artists EG: Alex Ross

Redchaplin, i know what you mean. It is better to have an original design rather than to have one similar to the hundreds more. However, with the story of the hero i feel myself as i must use something like "tights" (although simply i hate them; considering to be a superhero, possibly i would never wear one).

Story of the nickname and hereby the hero related to his super -cloth- .

His costume has a specially wowen texture; when examined closely it seems like silvery grey wowen metal wires, felt like a thick fish skin; having nano scale hi conducting cables, fiber optic rings, reflectors, deflectors and a secret alloy mesh plus micro hatches used for breathing the skin.

Its approximate thickness is around 1 centimeters (1/2,5 inches). It is specially tailored for the hero's body. Inside, there are sensors and activator points to evaluate and dispatch every data including heat, pressure, humidity, atmospheric status, electricity etc. Some functions are happening automatically by a mini computer on the belt besides some functions are manual by commanding through the buttons and dimmers on the belt again.

Wire mesh can hold the projectiles up to 2000 E/M. That means a noticeable bulletproof specialty. (44 magnum round has an E/M rate of 528 in 90 meters for instance.) However it is still better to evade from the heavier calibers like AA guns or antitank rockets.

Energy types under 700 centigrade celsius heat can not make it burning; 21st force of 10 Hz frequency electromagnetic pulses can be soared Hydrchloric and sulfuric acides can not wear it.

And most important factor; when the reflective cyristals affected by the energy pulses; they start to radiate light, fiberoptic arrays carry the light factors from one side to the other side of the costume. Besides they soar the incoming light. What does it mean?

Simply, it acts like an octopus or squid skin. If there is nothing unusual and our hero stands still in front of a wall, in seconds his costume reflects the view what would normally be obstructed by the body of him. If he moves, you see something moving like the one in movie "predator".

This is not an endless power since it consumes much. Emptied batteries may result as failures in electonical gadgetry. Batteries are filled by the kinetic energy of the body, slowly.

Move means energy

If he has got no energy? Thats so bad than...; infact, 2,5 million worth costume needs at the end some peanut buttered bread and orange juice ( and pizzas.

HI! Really cool design. I agree with that suit stuff, but this hero uniforms looks so great in comic pages. Please post some sequential art!
