View Full Version : ATI 200m Issues.

I just purchased a new laptop. Info in my sig. But after installing Messiah, I've found it will not function. The program loads, and no appearance issues with Messiah. But nothing will move without a massive amount of delay. I click a tab and it takes almost 30 seconds to switch. And scene manipulation is impossible. I've read of many ATI problems, but I'm stuck with this laptop. Someone in a thread I found got a 200m laptop running messiah smoothly, if they can pipe in with how, I'd appreciate it.

Got it work!!!

I updated my laptops drivers.
And forced 16 bit buffering.
I also turned off anti-aliasing.

A friend of mine had big problems with his ATI-card-laptop (can't remember his card, x100 maybe?) and XSI, the "omega drivers" did solve it for him:

I have them running too with a x600 on a HP Pavillon (not the latest version though) and everything is fine and fast, XSI, LW, messiah, Solid Thinking, Rhino...

May be worth a try if you run into trouble again ;-)
