How can I make a metal surface to get shining glow effect. Is there a tutorial on the web? Thank you.

FPrime doesnŽt support the glow/corona effects.

IŽd make the "glowing" in post production.

I think you might mean specularity? Under the surfaces option. You have to have a light on the opposite side to your camera (ish)

Or perhaps he's referring to the starburst patterns made ever so popular on the original Battlestar Galactica's cyclons...

Either way, as stated, fprime will not render such scene elements.

..damn, do you suggest any particluar render or just a straight LW render. Im using fprime cause its super fast. It will take like hours to render what I made in normal LW render

Render JUST the effect in LW without raytraced reflections etc and composite the FPrime/LW renders together.

This method gives you additional control over the effect too.
