Starting a new wip... and I'll try to be less obnoxious with the watermarks this time
I want to know if I'm on track with the clothing wrinkles. Heres a close up

Very cute - I'll just wait and see how it will develop before commenting.

I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH CREATING GRASS.
I could try and detail the whole picture like I started... but I don't know how long that would take. I want to know if there's an easier way, that will look more genuine...
Help please!! :scream:

Great sketch - funny character!
For the grass - I'm not sure what software you use, but for photoshop there are numerous grass brushes which could work well. The key component in making grass look good is a fair amount of variation in colours, shades and highlights. So if you are going to do it manually as you have started, I'd suggest blending quite a few tones of green, so it does not become too uniform.
Hope it helps :)

Thanks both of you :)
I use Gimp, I found a few grass brushes, but they're pretty small and I'm working at a high resolution. I'll figure something out.
Tried clouds, and shades/highlights on the bug, let me know if they look right

I really like how this is turning out, I'll be sure to provide a hi-res version once I'm done. I still need to work on the frontmost grass, making grass around the bug, etc.
I'm also going to redo the sky, since I have no clue how to make those clouds look right :D

for the win!

Second attempt at the clouds.

I am just about finished.
All I need to know is, do the clouds look ok? If not I would really appreciate some tips.
It is supposed to be warm, wet (not rainy), and breezy, and mostly cloudy, in the afternoon.

I've been wanting to comment on this, but i don't really know what to say, he looks so cute and it's coming along nicely, the only thing is the lines look jagged, but that may be due to the fact that it's not full resolution? who knows, keep up the good work though
