Latest Update: Modeling: Insect body... (

03 March 2006, 02:31 PM (

This is my first sketch in wich I describe the ambientation of my scene "Exodus". The idea is based in the greatest everknown men's journey - the exit of sons of Israel from egypt. Focusing in the "Red Sea", the scene is transposed to the insect's world with a lake travessy to achive their objective.
The water opens and the obstacles are won on the way to a better place.

03 March 2006, 02:46 PM (

My second sketch shows more details of the scene with the presence of a crowd of bugs crossing the water of the lake which opens in front of them.

03 March 2006, 02:53 PM (

First studies of concepts of some characters. The responsability is to show all the diferent characteristics of each character inside the scene.

03 March 2006, 03:04 PM (

He guides the crowd through the rising obstacles.

03 March 2006, 03:09 PM (

Even the strongest become weak and dependent

03 March 2006, 09:32 PM
Dude I liked the alone model I expect that going it place the phases of the creation , and keep going.

best regards man!

03 March 2006, 10:33 PM (

After the modeling of all components of this character, Ill still spend some time for teaks and refinements. But Ill make some comments about this stage. Modeling is all subdivided polys and edge extrusions. Eeverything but the eyes, witch are NURBS.
To put the character on the final pose, I didnt see the need of creating a skeleton and skinning the mesh.
I just parented all body parts in an hierachy way and move the pivot to its new location, matching the articulations. This way is easier and quicker to reach the final pose.
