One of my early concepts,i sketched it back 2000,and i've always hoped that i'd have the guts to take it to a higher level with a lots of emotions to be envolved and there are many more elements i'm judging right now to deccide which will be more suitale to amplify the painfull passage of regret ,lonleyness, and agony.
one more word, i just might wake up tommorrow with another idea or sketch, but untill now the regret journey will be my project.
wish u all the best, enjoy your good times and fair play with this challenge.

The first steps in modelling the swan , i'll try to illustrate a severe feeling felt by the swan on the moment of her departure to the unkown ,the very feeling of being betrayed ,a mixture of panic, agony, and astonishment ,the swan should realy be gordious, and it's body language and the look of her eye should express the feelings i've just mentioned before.
this is just the begining i didn't do much ,it's a half hour work ,hard to find time these days.
i'll be glad to hear any opinions.

(Pardon my english:wise: ) ,Imagine this hard tool is digged into the swan chest amplifying the feeling of beying betrayed confirming the decision of departure to a long dangerous journey seeking healing faithfullness ,passion and rest, i was impressed by the arrows the orks:twisted: in the (lord of the rings )use , ugly hard ones ,you ask yourself when u see them how will they ever fly steady in the air with all those noise in their body , but they did impressed me .
i'll be posting every 15 days ( more or less ) because of the nature of my work at which i'll not be in near of any pc.
it's hard for me to be away that much ,and it tears me apart when i come back and find myself way behind.
anyway i think no one will miss me  ,i'm much like a ghost in here.

u'll never believe it , my computer crashed 2 times each time i had to format it and the swan design file is lost ,now i 'll do 2 posts before i leave on is the swan wip pre zbrush which is this very one, the other will be posted with some tweaks with zbrush but not yet final , i intend to complete it in zbrush when i come back after 15 days....
anybody miss me already?....i think not, i think no body even read this!!
anyway good(bye+luck)

Great pose and start to modelling. All it needs is more detail, and you seem to be adding that so just keep it up!:)

The feathers look a bit lumpy though.

I agree with burpy, the feathers do look a little to lumpy, but other than that keep up the good work.

this is the far background , this will be tweaked with some mate painting and the rendered elements will be gathered and composited with it.

As for as a background yes you can use n image from photoshop or a photo yo took whatever you want. If you plan to texture your models then your whole scene is covered in images:D
