I'm getting jagged edges when I use bones to make this snake I made move. Any ideas why? I want it to be curved, like a snake would be. Thanks

If your object is a subdivision object hit 'p' while object is selected and for Subdivision Order (in geometry tab in properties panel) select last.

crap. Now it's doing this. Why is it not following the bones very well?

I don't mean no disrespect, but I really don't think have anything so unique that it's worth protecting, so could you perhaps post the scene file and snake object (images not needed)!? This would make the job for everyone wanting to help much easier. Having everybody guess every possible reason why it's acting up is wasting everybodys time. Sorry, but that is the truth!

My first guess is that you have your bones in a seperate layer.
