I trying to get fr to not show the hdri in the bg, like "not seen by camera" in c4d, but I'm not seeing this.

Does anyone know how?

Not sure if thatīs what you are trying to archive. Youīve got a sky with a hdri mapped to it. It lights up the scene and generates reflections. Now you just want to make it invisible in the final rendering. If thatīs what youīre after, itīs pretty easy. Simply attach a fR object tag to the sky object and uncheck "visible to camera". Render the scene and voila - there you go.
