Hi everyone!
This is my first time here at CGSociety.
Nice to meet you all!

So, this is my ideia for the challenge: A toddler needs to loose his diapers. Outside from the security of his diapers everything looks terrifying. In the end of his long journey he will need to face the always hungry.... Potty-Monster!

Colour test

Hi, Thalita, welcome to the challenge!
Great concept, this made me laugh out loud.
I hope you'll get to experiment with the coloring more... maybe you could try something that emphasizes the child and the toilet more than the diaper? You certainly have plenty of time!

Good luck!

Very cute Thalita, nice drawing and idea.

Muito bacana ver uma brasileira aqui. Parabens. Vou acompanhar de perto

Bjs e boa sorte.

03-02-2006, 10:02 AM
Walrus, thank you. Good advice.
I started the coloring, I'm working the baby first.
I'm still new at digital stuff, so I'm going slow... I'll post another color test today, hoping for everyone's help!

I'm gald you all found the concept funny! That was my point. Thank you!

Sturmkim, the baby wants to do something, but in the moment he is thinking about never to pee again in his life, because he is too afraid of the toilet... He won't be able to stick to his plan for too long, tough... :)

Schaal, is always good to see a compratiot!
Are you on the chalenge too?

I just started to color, from the toddler...

the idea/concept is very sound..

03-02-2006, 01:09 PM
I think you can capture the intensity better, with a closer perspective of the baby's face with a more imposing toilet seat in the background

03-02-2006, 05:17 PM
Schaal, is always good to see a compratiot!
Are you on the chalenge too?

I'm sorry I'm going slowly but this part of colouring is what I find difficult.
Those are my basic colours for the landscape.
Than I'll mix the landscape with bathroom tiles and walls. Still don't know how to do it, but I'll try...

03-09-2006, 12:44 PM
Thanks to everyone!
I'm so glad everyone is enjoying!

Sorry I take so long to post, but that's because I don't have internet at home.

03-09-2006, 01:10 PM

What a lovely idea. Way to go, you´re doing fine.

03-10-2006, 08:17 PM
Keep going, girl.
Up to here it looks fine. You are doing good with digital colors.
I wonder how are you going to do the transition from the bathroom tiles to the path that leads to the "monster".

03-11-2006, 02:20 AM
Ha! that is too much! hahahahahaha! LOL....

keep after this one this is just toooooo good of an idea to not finish out...

and also your Artistic Style is really amazing too!

03-11-2006, 08:33 AM
Clever idea, and really lovely vibe. It's great to see something a bit different. Looking forward to seeing the result!

03-12-2006, 01:27 AM
Thanks everyone!

I started working on the bathroom tiles, I'll post it here tomorrow.
I still don't know for sure how I will make the transition from the bathroom to the landscape made of imagination.... we'll see....

03-13-2006, 02:47 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/12/10016/10016_1142261266_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/12/10016/10016_1142261266_large.jpg)

I started working on the tiles, as I said.
When I finish this basic colouring of them I will start trying to merge them with the landscape of imagination (I don't have a clue about how I will do this....).

03-13-2006, 05:24 PM
nice concept

03-13-2006, 07:20 PM
The young Thalita had a dream.....

very cute and original concept, I love the baby's expression...

Keep Working !

03-14-2006, 05:29 PM
Maybe your should use a fading effect to make the transition...

Try different things.

The tiles... are they going to be all in different tones?

03-27-2006, 05:26 PM
beautiful thalitha, :bounce: it looks good...

04-05-2006, 09:47 PM
So funny, so cute. Excellent work so far Thalina. You capture the childs vulnerability and emotion nicely. The color should be fine as long as you keep in mind you values, warm and cool colors and points of interest.

Can't wait to see it done.
