Damn those double posts

ok so i have come up with my first character concept for this challenge.
I'm thinking of a cartoonish "save the girl" theme Where my little tiki will be prepared to face the dragon. But here i want to actually catch the concept of his first facial expression when he realizes that the right behind him.

Hey nice concept Kahlan Amnell...

I like the idea too

Secondary character design.

A fairy who is currently in a state of awe....or thought, over the loss of his family. yadda yadda yadda. Not sure where i would go with this. But i did not want to be stuck with only one character option

Another milestone for me. Hopeing with some color, my thread may gain some popularity like the other well known artist we have here. I am gonna go with this as my color scheme for my Tiki friend. Softer/cooler colors give the true humor to the thought "about to be eatin by a dragon"

Tiki is cute but he looks more angry than surprised.

Ahahah , funny character mate !

Good luck to him for the girl saving and good luck to you for the challenge !

cheers ,

Hey hey i find the secondary sketch really interesting!!

But i'm agree with JTD he looks more angry...

Poonks: In your honest opinion, which of the two concepts do see working more with this theme? I am in a way torn between the two because i can see the end result in both and they look great. I can be stubborn with my work and sometimes an outside opinion never hurts

Zapan: I'm glad you like it. I'll be sure to check out your work every now and then.

JTD: Thanks you, i was hoping the big eyes would give more of a suprised illusion but i can see where your comming from. The arched brow does show anger more then suprised.

I vote for the Tiki character. But you have to fix the brows to get the right expression. The triangle formed where the brows meet are the reason for his angry look (I would guess)

Good luck!

I'm here and your...well what can I say...:D

Cool character drawing concept and your colors are down packed, BUT he needs an emotion and some foreshortening to add movement, making him do something other than holding his

It is a great beginning! KEEP AT IT DUUUDE!!:buttrock:
