Awesome start - Good luck!

03 March 2006, 09:50 AM
Thanks you.
Now I think in what direction I shall work...
and now I think that the second sketch is more pleasant to me and has that that especial.... But I still yet have not decided precisely.. :)

03 March 2006, 11:29 AM
Hi Nikolay! Is glad to see you!
Success to you!
I for the present search for idea...

03 March 2006, 11:46 AM
I welcome you, Nikolay! :)
You were powerfully prepared!

03 March 2006, 12:31 PM
Hiya! My best wishes to you in challenge ^^

03 March 2006, 06:40 PM (

So, I think it the basic my idea.. And it looks so.. It is a final sketch.. And a provisional kind of that that I hope will be.)

03 March 2006, 07:56 PM
Great sketches dude! Keep them coming and good luck

03 March 2006, 08:55 PM
I like the idea so far, especially the color scheme. How about changing perspective a bit so your closer to the train, especially the conductor? Maybe a higher viewpoint with the green/yellow grass sweeping off to the right and the mountains and sky above?

03 March 2006, 09:13 PM
I like it a lot, very dinamic :)))

03 March 2006, 11:31 PM
Thanks you for your comments and wishes... I too wish good luck to you)

to marcoracer>> I shall not change perspective most likely strongly... Probably I shall make more largly a train that characters have been more readable)..., though...

03 March 2006, 11:36 AM (

It is my line art, and i continued work in color.

03 March 2006, 12:08 PM
Oh, i love it! i really love it.

03 March 2006, 01:56 PM
The sense of direction and movement is relied on well you could express the flow of the vegetation and puff of steam. This starting point looks good.

03 March 2006, 01:59 PM
Line art pic rocks already..
Nice concept..

Best of luck to you!

03 March 2006, 02:33 PM (

Now I work with color, I fill space... it is first result)

and thanks for you comments)

03 March 2006, 02:13 PM (

it is my next step

Now I basically search for an atmosphere..

03 March 2006, 03:26 PM
Great idea, and great progress. You paint very fast, looking forward to more.

03 March 2006, 04:35 PM
Oooh, pretty!

I like this one!

03 March 2006, 04:56 PM
Steamengines are cool :) I love the colors too. You work really fast.Personally I liked the first of the 4 sketches better, because the train drives away from the viewer, which to me is more like 'going on a journey'. Also, in your latest version I think the sparks from the steampipe is a bit too much. I've worked on a steamtrain for some time, and they only produce a lot of smoke when they accelerate. At cruise speed hardly any smoke comes out, let alone a volcano of sparks :)

Anyway, nice work.

03 March 2006, 06:15 PM
How can I say,the theme is beautiful, I will choose the one withouth somany things
I think no need the fire works bees r even better, but haha thats only my personal opinion

03 March 2006, 10:54 AM (

I have moved characters and have added still the character.. I think that I am already close to the basic kind.. I only have not absolutely decided that the character in the foreground does.

03 March 2006, 11:14 AM
pretty characters! i like the composition, but the smoke seems to be heavy a bit! good luck!

03 March 2006, 07:17 PM (

I have decided to add trees, and almost to close the sky, I still continue to work on the general atmosphere.

03 March 2006, 08:28 PM
I think it is rather busy, but it is still looking good, Glad to see some updates NIkolay!

03 March 2006, 09:55 PM
hi nice things are happening here,

but i must admit that i think the best one is your "final sketch" (especially for the grass) becouse the last one is too much closed and the train is not moving in it it looks like its ready to move but the other one looks dreamy and train moves fasstly there.

when you look at the proggress one by one the last one is the best one but at first sight my choice is the "final sketch" but with the smoke of the last one.

good luck:)

03 March 2006, 07:46 AM
Thanks for your advices and help. I too think that to a train not enough place in a picture.))

04 April 2006, 04:42 PM (

I have decided to give a train of more place as has decided to remove extraneous subjects.

04 April 2006, 03:03 PM (

Hi, it is my final composition.
I have approached to a final part of painting. These are details and I was possible certainly that that I shall change still. But this final base color decision and position of subjects.

04 April 2006, 09:52 AM (

I began a final stage of painting, I trace details well and so I search for mistakes and defects. And I work with characters.

04 April 2006, 07:54 PM
Prikolinaya picture, sense I seem the herb not on that side is biased. But as a whole fine, and much brightly.

04 April 2006, 07:57 PM
Прикольная картинка, только мне кажется трава не вту сторону склоняется. А в целом отлично, и очень ярко.

04 April 2006, 09:08 PM (

Now I work with characters, and I add little details.)

05 May 2006, 08:18 PM (

Now I add final details and I trace little details. I think that I soon finished.

05 May 2006, 03:27 PM (

It is a final step of work. Some close-up elements.

05 May 2006, 05:26 PM (

Still some close-up elements.

05 May 2006, 01:16 PM (

I tried to show a fairy tale world, In him all is unusual, there are big mushrooms, flowers, and are very small, a High grass, and the zephyrous sky which it is possible to get a hands. The steam locomotive also unusual he goes not on rails, and on a grass, on a way which he is specified by wood fairies. Also for me the greatest symbol of travel is the steam locomotive, in him there is something very unusual, Likely it is connected to that that it is the steam machine. I would like to represent the fantastic world but that he was little real, therefore I have decided to represent fairies simply as unusual people.

Thanks all for comments and for your help.))))

05 May 2006, 01:35 PM
