Hi the new idea.
all of us remember our first school day...right?
that was a traumatic day, the beginig of a yourney in a new enviroment with people that we don't know. a yourney that will last for too much time...
here is my idea...a kid that just get out of his home and he goes to his first school day....

hi ! how are you ! interesting concept you have here! the kid concept is great , but from your image , the kid is walk to school or home , maybe if you want the feel of journey , you can put charactor in foreground and use his eye direction to the destination :> hope u understand my poor eng ! heheh

Hi i'm fine thanks!

well. i understand don't worry, : the kid is walking to the school, and from the perspective he is leaving his house behind, and is jumping around happy but inocent about what will happen to him at the school:twisted:....are you following me?:deal:

03-10-2006, 08:59 PM
Hey Carlos,

Nice to see you in the challenge again, 2 interesting concepts . The kid going to school concept could work nicely, give the kid a backpack ,lunchbag etc and the viewer will get the idea.

Good luck with this.

03-10-2006, 09:51 PM
HAHAHA nice concept sketch, just kidding, you should see mine. I like using 3d primitives for perspectives as well, I find I harness more CHee-Ting energy that way. I am glad you are in this challenge too, look forward to see more! GoodLuck!

Hi melkao,
This is a very-very good idea i think. Playin with memories and seriouy feelings. I know it's hard to depict, but you can do it am sure. Lookin froward for models. Now push it my friend!
You have the ingredients to cook a fine piece :)

03-13-2006, 04:08 PM
mmoir: WOW!, Do you was reading my mind? i already have the backpack modeled...soon i will post it....thanks for reading my mind:scream:

Starting with 3d modeling....here is the hous in the foreground.
As you see is a happy house, because i want to make something like those story books for kids, with happy suns and flowers, and enviroment totaly diferent

03-15-2006, 06:06 AM
hey man, you got some cute character designs going on, definately a unique piece:thumbsup:

03-15-2006, 06:12 AM
The house doesn't look happy. It has a too big curvature upwards on the "mouth", you should try making it downwards. This way, the house looks like its strying to scare the child. It definitely doesn't look like a happy house.

I suggest you making the child looking the school from far, instead of the house, with perhaps the house by the side or behind, or even the child looking from the window. This way, the image makes clear that he is travelling for the school. You can make just the house on the scene but you'll really need to make a good pose and expression of "fear" if you really want to emulate the feelings he'll having. I don't know, perhaps, you can pose him trying to step forward but with a scary expression in the face.

Anyway, please try fixing the house. Plus, the red eyes don't help.

03-15-2006, 06:44 PM
What a cute looking kid! This looks good so far - looking forward to the rest

03-15-2006, 06:51 PM
hhssuu: Thanks man!:D i was workin in a big head model...and this is what i get...glad you like it:beer:

Elentor: well i can see what you mean:eek:...and yes maybe the expression is not the best:twisted:...i will fix it. and the red eyes ...well they are not texturized yet, the red color is just to make the diference betwen the bricks and windows(eyes).:bounce: and i don't know about his looking the school, the general idea as that he is leaving behind his house with the backpack, and i still don't decided about the expression of his face...

thanks guy for the comments:thumbsup:

I like the style for childrens books; that's something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Look al this photograph... every time I do it makes me laugh.

I got a picture on my wall, a picture taked by my mom, a picture of my first school day, and like the other boys I didn't want to go, and i was figthing agaist my dad.

I was afraid to go there....new people, that I ever knew before, it went to beginning a great trip, and whe my dad finally drop me in the bus, I was thinking to my self "the journey begins"

Mr. Bob was the driver of the school bus, and he was really mad, and the Mr. Yimmy was a really nice teacher, and he always traveled with us.

The other boys also were scared. it was the first day of our big journey...

Now, I keep this memory because make see that the big troubles become in small with the time.

Look al this photograph... every time I do it makes me laugh.
