I am waiting your comments.

03 March 2006, 07:30 PM (

well the 2nd of not aryans, left to do the nazis and afinal sketch and I will start modeling
I need your posts.

I am not to do the nazis, because i will make one nazi model, and then I will deform things like chins and noses.

03 March 2006, 09:50 PM
That's a pretty powerful image! Lot's of emotion going on there, with the fear of the forced "journey". If the usage of Nazis vs. Jews gets to be too controversial, you can pretty easily get away with not using their relative icons with this composition. The character sketches look good too.

Certainly one of humanity's darkest times.

Good luck! I hope this turns out well!

I'm happy for your comments, soon i will post the final sketch, any constructive critics i will apreciate it.

Hey Josh, very good idea, however, I'm not sure about this, but I remember reading a part when I've subscribed to this challenge about not having any violence or Nudity?

Not sure about that though!

And another thing, it'd be cool to see that scene but with cartoon characters, or fictif characters, Like animals and stuff like that!

Keep up the good work mate! ;)

Well, thanks for your comments, but i dont think that the image have violence, the intention its to see the hostility, the opretion, the sadness, but it isn't my intention show violence.
I have tryed to show some cruelty to fill the idea of the journey of something little, the people on the wagon aren't little, but that cruelty give us the idea that they are.

Well, this is my last sketch, now I will start with the modelling. Things will be added but the idea still be the same.
I'm waiting your posts.

03 March 2006, 04:24 PM
Nice sketch, but would you like to tell me the story of this pic?

03 March 2006, 04:58 PM
i think the sketch is solid and i think you're going to do a good job in the modeling. i think that this is not too violent in context (and i'm sure the adminstrators didn't want us all to do fairies and mice and happy fluffy bunnies). but what i do worry about is that using caricatures kind of trivializes a profoundly important historical event and that you may be robbed in the judging. my entry certainly has a similar theme and i certainly thought of the holocaust while i was thinking of it, but i wonder if there isn't a more serious way to approach this subject if you're so close to it. or if you wish to use caricature and exagerration, couldnt you move further away??

either way, all the best.

03 March 2006, 07:10 PM
Well, I made a sketch of caricatures because its fast and easy, the facial characteristics are more exaggerated, the models will be more humanly.By sketching like cartoon my intention isn't to say: jaja Holocaust. I made it because is just easy.

:wip: Thanks for your post.

03 March 2006, 12:11 AM
wow great idea...damn war... a journey with no return!

03 March 2006, 09:08 PM
I agree with Cleveland, I donīt think that the caricature style and that kind of flat lighting helps your image at all. Itīs at odds with the story that youīre trying to tell. Maybe go black and white, and more shadows/contrast/grain? Thatīs my opinion, at least.

03 March 2006, 02:22 AM (

well, my first modelling, the middle one its the low poly, mmm well, thanks for your posts, the characters models will be more realistic, it wasn't my intention make see the situation like less important, i sketch it in that way because its more easy, but de models will be more human.

03 March 2006, 02:47 AM
Well, I got diferent feelings about that. It's important to keep in mind Holocaust and what people are capable of. So what's bothers me is style of sketch. It's hard to show all evil like that. But perhaps you can somehow. So I will refrain myself with coments until I see more.

Here is the head of the angry nazi with the rifle, the facial expresion and the chin problem will be added and fixed on ZBrush. Keep posting

03 March 2006, 08:47 PM
Well, I have modeled too fast the german guy, and it's bad, I have to say it, so forget it please my modelling part got a bad start, the helmet need to fix fine in the head, not the head on the helmet, so I will start all the modelling part, again.
This is gona be hard for me, because I am just 15 years old and the school season as just start. But I'll do my best.
