Hi you all! that is my fisrt sketch for that challenge.
So, my concept is to create an interdimensional journey, some kind of evolution journey, a bit inspired by stargate and stuff like that. Hope you like this few ideas.

Love the idea and concept. I would go for a less highlighted pyramid, though, as its dimensions and dominating position in the image already give it a lot of focus. The journey in itself, I would think, is what actually goes on in the lower half of the image, so a little more attention to this part would balance the focus and get the story across better, methinks.

Hi crew...that is the definitive concept for my journey.
I´m still on the first idea, about some jouney to evolution..using contrast between old, primitive people, creatures and a future gate( reference fom stargate). Logically on this sketch the idea is not too clear, but I´ll make an effort to show it on the final image...so, let´s work on!

another up, with a first plane sketch
03 March 2006, 03:20 AM
interesting angle mate~u could rotate the angle alil more maybe to get this dynamic pov?just a suggestion, and it'd be great to see how u work on the water/sea:scream:
03 March 2006, 03:42 AM
03 March 2006, 12:29 PM
Shake (Sh@ke): Hi dude, thank you! I´ll test this rotation you´ve said. Well, the water will be so full of difficulties to me, to represent some real sea. that is. cya on the road
Alan: Fale velhinho. Valeu, abs

Ancient airship here... you're totally in what I like... the journey seel to start very well... I'm of your travel then... best of lucks mate... and thanks for your words on my thread
03 March 2006, 02:09 PM
Hi Lemog, thank you for reply me!
Yes, on this challenge I had oportunity to create a concept, putting together past and future, contrasting this stuff.
About the ancient ship, I don´t know, but I think I´ll redesign it, improve it to leave it a bit "real", no too fake. I also think it very primary, child and simple, I want something more complex. So, if you have some tips about it, feel free to comment ok?
03 March 2006, 02:20 PM
You are becoming CRAZY on 2d...... :scream:
Were is the guys inside this balloon? COngrats, really nice job..... Keep walking........
I´m watching you.......
03 March 2006, 06:57 PM
thank you man...the characters will come later
03 March 2006, 09:41 PM
Wonderful! I love the perspective. I'd like to see more colour, perhaps more purple in the sky? Or maybe go for a dramatic sunset, reds and oranges?
03 March 2006, 10:33 PM
Interesting stuff, I like the concept before this one, with the hi tech structure in the background. It would be cool to see that expanded on. Then the journey could relate not only to the journey to that structure, but also to the long journey (through time) between the low tech of the balloon/airships and hi tech of the structure... Just a thought :) good luck with the rest of it!

enialadam: deeeear madalaine! Yes, you´re right, perhaps a mix of colors in the sky will give more real look, will simulate the sunlight bounces on the clouds. so I´, glad you like this little piece of work. cya!
yadam: Hi dude! Well, the tech piece on the far away place will be there, but bigger than I drew on the sketch, and more detailed, logically. What you´ve said about the journey is what I thought in the beginning. On my concept, I´ve got some inspiration on Stargate movie, which shows an interdimensional journey, between a primitive and modern "worlds". Hope you like this way!
