View Full Version : Ambient Occlusion with Turtle

Hi folks,

been testing the ilrOccSampler Node from Turtle lately and have to say
i am pretty impressed of what i see compared to the mib_amb_occ Node
which comes with MR in Maya 7. Especially in high detailed areas Turtle
seems to do a much better (and faster) work than mr.
The downside nevertheless, seems to be that in larger bent areas a lot of
detail is lost. The pictures look very very flat on these parts. I have been
playing around with the settings for quite some time now and could not
achieve a satisfying result.

I was wondering if some of you guys already have some experience with
Turtles Ambient Occlusion that you could share ...

Thanks in advance
