View Full Version : loosing special characters

Hello world,

I got a script that imports files, takes their names and puts them into groups. In order to find the groups later in the script I have to substitute all illegal/special characters with underscores (THANKS MAYA FOR NOT GIVING ME A HAND HERE). Unfortunately, I frequently loose some characters like the "plus/minus" one or "@", instead the characters get replaced by "377". This, in turn results in the group names repeating every two characters --- grgreaeat!t!

I dunno yet if it's only when I save it or whatever, but it's a real downer, making the whole scripting thing unreliable.

Is there any way to specify the characters with their ASCII code ? Maybe I could even use this to easily replace anything but the first 30 characters of the table...

Thanks world.
