ha.. MS just couldn't take it anymore and gave in.. Instead of trying to beat Linux to a pulp, they will just infect it and take over, one byte at a time...

I'm waiting for 'Windows on Linux'. hmmm... That would actually be similar to what Mac did with their OS (built it on Unix).
It'll probably suck but at least we'd finally see all of our apps get ported to Linux... and as we all know, it's the apps that keep us from jumping ship.
At any rate, I think it's far too hopeful that MS will stand by and let their market be taken from them. When has MS ever let that happen?!? Gates and Co have very deep pockets and a history of brutal competiveness... bad news for Linux.

gabe28, check out lindows, its a linux distribution that also can run - atleast some - windows apps.

This was just a prediction from the Meta Research group, MS has not made any statement that they are going to use the Linux OS.
This story is about as newsworthy as that cat that pees in the toilet. It must be a slow news day.

actually its been very slow in general lately :( hopefully things will pick up again after the new year.
