Hey all, managed to get access to my old-dear's computer on Friday (mine is ****ed) so I decided to model something. Here's what I ended up with:

Wow ! this is really nice, right on ! He looks just like a better version of the guy on the cover of 3dWorld magazine # 6

What I like the most about him:

-the look on his face.

You mean "The Head" by Digital Animations? Yeah he does have a resemblence to him, I realised that myself yesterday.

From a standing start until I posted it here I had worked on this dude for about 18 hours altogether.

These aren't necessarily the final colours, but I actually wanted him to look "cold" as you put it. We'll see though, I havent got around to texturing his body yet :)

Yeah you are right, the teeth are the bit I am least happy with, I plan a complete re-build of those

Here's a bonus update. I am going for a cracked-paint look on the texture, but I am painting it with a mouse in PS so has been pretty slow going

Btw the update looks cool, I'd go easy on bump maps tho (chin)

excellent character!! The modeling is fantastic, and so is the texturing! The only thing that seems odd to me is his waist... for all those rolls he seems too slim... should be a little more bulky i think.

also i agree the bump map is too strong on his face.

I have finished texturing the face, now onto the body...

Truly psychic, this guy is psycho. With that evil eyes and pose. Good texturing work done.
The chin and the nose need some tweaking, i guess.

Real nice mate, unbelivable talent you have there, lil is right about the dof, the bokeh on the bauble needs sorting, and a tad less dof would make this a perfect image .

Thanks guys, yeah you are totally right about the DoF, I only rendered the last one like to match te first one I posted. I normally wouldn't be caught dead using DoF, I duno why I didthis time.
