View Full Version : Lighting Nightmare

Hi...this to most of you will seem like a daft question but here goes.
I am trying to get to grips with GI in 3ds max using Radiosity. I have modelled a gallery with white walls. However the colour of the wooden floor (light brown) is changing the colour of the walls to a cream. I am using photometric lighting and as far as i can see the settings are all fine. The light and filter colour is also white. Any ideas

Thanks Ben

Thus the nature of GI. Light bounces off of a surface, and 'bleeds' color with the bounce. A red surface will reflect.. red light onto everything around it. Thats why you have color changes.

you can try to use advanced lighting override material in max, and lower the color bleeding, usually it's work very well good luck :)
