One of my favorite magazines is Popular Science.
I love how their positive spin for their visions of the future.

Some topics that I will cover next week are:

Rocket Racing League

Inflatable Space Hotels
Flying Cruiseships

Space Elevator

The Mini Space Shuttle
Daniel Clery

So post your ideas for this on the topic thread. The ONLY rule is that it has to be based on a real life concept that someone is working on.

It surprises me how unactive this thread has been compared to similar thread. Usually there are people posting things like "good idea :)!", "I'm looking forward to this!" or "no offence, but I hate this idea..." :/

So post your ideas for this on the topic thread. The ONLY rule is that it has to be based on a real life concept that someone is working on.

I think maybe this is creating a little problem.
Does this mean that we don't get to do any desiging or do you mean like an idea that the space people are really going to do?

Edit: strike that, I've been spending too much time on conceptart.org @,@, for a second there I only connected the word concept whit design so I got a little confused, sorry ^^

Great idea using popular science as an idea generator. I have also been checking out conceptart.org and I like how some of their topics are done like...

girl on balcony holding an umbrella looking at starships

bear rescuing a kitten from the river

They give the artists a more clear idea of what could be sketched. It feels much more like having an art director or a story that you're doing an illustration for. I do like the open ended way it's done here but I think sometimes I have to spend too much time interpretting the subject and not enough just getting into the sketch.

Well just a suggestion as to how we can mix it up a bit. The Popular Science idea is a really good one.
