Not bad for a first animation! However, here's some gripes:

Lose the genitals ship! Its not funny and you appear very crude and vulgar with such low shots at humor. Yes, one can argue space ships are flying phallic symbols anyway, but the way it is handled here is just immature
Address scale issues with the Gundam-like mobile suit. One scene we see it walking on a planet and getting hit on the knee with a flier for the big race, the next it is lined up with all the other craft, big as they are. From human size (especially clear relative to the sand it is walking on) to giant size inexplicably really stood out to me.
The wrap and snare scene of the Gundam with the trip wire was a little clunky.
Now, here's some things good:

The asteroid scene was beautiful!
Great use of toon-shading in some parts. The red planet could use some more work though.
Nice little reference gags built in. For instance, the Stargate portal and the Space Balls flying trailer ship (whatever Lonestar's ship was called). Nice little touches.
Funny ending with the little saucer winning, but that honking noise is REALLY annoying.
Overall, nice start into CG animation. Ships are fun, but articulating characters with limbs is even more fun (started to do a bit with the Gundam there)...
